- Ages 12-17
- Small Group
- Beginner friendly
Our 5-day Teen Summer Pottery Camp for ages 12 - 17 offers a comprehensive pottery education, and is beginners friendly!
Pottery is good for mental health, it's a creative outlet, and it keeps us off our screens. Through pottery we hope to inspire and educate the youth with a healthy creative outlet in the physical world. We are here to provide a safe space where they feel supported in exploring their creativity and identity.
Nuestras maestras son bilingües, niños y padres que hablan español son bienvenidos.
What Campers Learn:
- Wheel throwing and handbuilding fundamentals in a two-track program
- How to refine and finish projects with care and creativity
- A variety of pottery making techniques including assembling multi-piece sculptures and surface decoration
By the end of the week, students will have created a collection of their very own unique pottery.
Students will build on their projects each day to expand creatively and learn the value of practice and continued effort. They will return to multiple projects and see the fruits of their labor at the end.
Students will be invited to exhibit their pieces in an exhibition in late summer, to round out their artist experience.
No experience required. All materials included.
